When I was a kid, I dreaded Mondays—but Sunday evenings were the most painful.
It’s like Pippin says to Gandalf, ahead of their defence of Minas Tirith:
“I don’t want to be in a battle. But waiting on the edge of one I can’t escape is even worse.”
These days, I quite like Mondays—or, anyway, I didn’t need to comfort-read Moominland Midwinter last night to get myself to sleep.
