Jim Henson’s Designs and Doodles is a wonderful book that I often revisit.
The last time I pulled it down off the shelf was about two months ago, and it lead to the Air Mail cartoon in this email—Muppets of the Multiverse.

Muppet Sketches
The first idea (below) imagined what Kermit and Miss Piggy’s children would look like. (Also, what if Gonzo had a kid with his chicken?)
There wasn’t quite enough in that idea—but a couple of weeks later I had a few more thoughts that beefed it up a bit (see below).
You can see from the sketch above that I was quite keen on the idea of Fonzo—but it felt like something that had probably been done, so I did a quick Google to check.
I didn’t find Gonzo in a leather jacket, but I did discover that ‘Fonzo’ was one of Al Capone’s nicknames.
