How to Mince a Pie
If you’ve spent more than five minutes in the U.K., around this time of year, you’ll probably have encountered a Chortling Mavis.
The Chortling Mavis comes in all shapes and sizes, lady or gent, but all are distinguished by their festive rosy-cheeks, and a desire to force feed you mince pies.
This week’s New Statesman Christmas Special includes a couple of my cartoons.
I hope you’ll find this one incredibly useful:
Mission : Carrot
Whenever I draw snow people, I doff my cap and whisper a quiet thank you to Bill Watterson, the creator of Calvin and Hobbes—and the greatest drawer of snow folk the world has ever seen.
This one is from last year, again from the New Statesman.
Cats on Manhattan Roofs
Some folk have been asking me about New Yorker cat prints (thank you). If you’re interested—they can be found here. It’s O.K. just to look at them too!
