A few years ago, I tried to convince myself that I’d seen a ghost.
It was a floaty lady from olden times (of course). She settled at the foot of my bed, and looked right at me. Then I rubbed my eyes and she vanished. Spooky!
It wasn’t a dream, if that’s what you’re thinking. I was just sleepy, the light was dim, and my eyes were a little blurry.
I knew that’s all it was, but it was fun to lean into the pretence.
I suspect that a lot of people do this, but then they take the further step of telling people they did actually see a ghost.
I don’t believe in ectoplasmic happenings, I’m afraid—but I did like the X-files.
That said, we should all keep an open mind—so if there are any ghosts subscribed to this email, please pop by this evening and prove me wrong!

Something Cool
This week, I wish to recommend: Julia Donaldson’s children’s picture book course (via BBC Maestro).
Julia Donaldson wrote the Gruffalo and a million other wonderful books for kids. I love the Snail and the Whale and Tiddler, by the way!
