Busy Town 2.0
This is the front page of a wrap-around cover for the latest issue of The American Bystander. It was inspired by Richard Scarry’s Busy, Busy Town—and kindly enabled by A.B.’s publisher, Michael Gerber.

The Fourth of July
America is a beautiful country that holds millions of great people, who’ve produced some wonderful things—like The Muppets, Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock.
It could maybe use a couple of tweaks though?
Below: from the New Yorker in 2019. (A couple of people got a bit grumpy about this, so please remember: it’s only a cartoon!)
Bot Art, Norman Rockwell
Ordinarily, I’m a pen and paper guy, but I’ve been conducting some experiments with my iPad Pro: re-drawing famous artworks as robots.
Several of them can be found in the latest issue of the American Bystander (No. 22), including Triple Self-Portrait after Norman Rockwell (see below).
Please visit my Etsy store to see more (e.g. Mechanical Mona Lisa).
Omg love the bystander cover !!!
