March 15th was the day that Caesar turned his back on Brute, and on being alive. Can you believe it’s already been two-thousand and sixty-eight years?
It was a sad day for that one famous Roman, but was there any need for Shakespeare to tell the rest of us to “beware” of the middle of March?
I mean, the Titanic went down on the 15th of April, but the Great Bard has nothing to say about that. Shouldn’t we beware the ides of April too, William?
What a fraud.

A Tale of Two Nigels
A few weeks back, I wrote a post about naming characters in cartoons. One of my go-to names is Nigel (sorry Nigel)…
Nigel in the American Bystander, 2018. Buy this cartoon.
Nigel in the New Statesman, 2022. Buy this cartoon.
Pay back, from my sketchbook. Ask about this cartoon.
Watch out for falling pianos. See you next week!
